Goodgis photo

Hey there! My name is Mark, but most people know me on the internet as Goodgis.

I’m a full-time Graphic Designer who makes video games and shares my adventures on Youtube. I specialize in making cute, colorful games and am currently working on a Metroidvania called Dewdrop Dynasty.

I also run my own little game studio called Firith Studio. It's been my dream, ever since I was a kid, to hire my friends and make Firith Studio a full-time job. And it's crazy to think that every day I get a little bit closer to that goal.

I’m probably most known for games such as The Keeyp, Wizbirds Online, Blizzard Blowout 64, and of course Dewdrop Dynasty. Wishlist on Steam!

FAQ

1. Where did the name Goodgis come from?
It comes from a Runescape username I created way back in the day when I was 10. I wanted to call myself Good guy but it was taken. So I backspaced twice and add some random letters. And thus Goodgis was born.
2. Are you still working on Dewdrop Dynasty, and when do you plan on releasing it?
The answer is yes! I've been actively working on it almost every day for the last year. We're hoping to release it by June of 2025 for Windows, Mac, and Linux!
3. What is Firith Studio?
Firith is my indie game studio located in Ohio. Currently, the team is made up of 4 main members. Crepe, Bonzo, JankyBread, and of course...myself. Just think of Firith as the publisher and Goodgis as an individual.
4. What is Goodgis' primary game engine?
I use all sorts of engines but my main is definitely Godot. It's free, it's fantastic, and it gets better every day. Check it out here: godotengine.org
5. What is Goodgis' preferred pixel art program?
I use Pyxel Edit: pyxeledit.com
6. Will there be a console port for Dewdrop?
If people like Dewdrop Dynasty, I will port it to either the Switch, or Nintendo's upcoming console.
7. What software does Goodgis use for making vector art?
I use the Affinity Designer 2, Adobe Illustrator, and sometimes Inkscape.
